iBooks won't be ready for release in Germany... so...
According to apfelquak, quoting a press release by Apple Germany, the iBooks store won’t be available in Germany on release. This could actually be a great proof of how open the the iPad actually is, because Amazon, Txtr, B&N and all the others will probably have ported their iPhone apps by then.
